The Data Science Hub’s strength is in its connections. The hub features campus-wide discussions of data problems, consulting services to help researchers apply the tools of data analysis and computation, and links to educational activities in data science. The hub will also organize a Public Lecture series on data science and is home to the SILO seminar series.
SILO aims to build a community of mathematically-minded researchers interested in computational and mathematical sciences.
The ORC at UW-Madison focuses on broad disciplines of optimization, including economics, computer science, industrial engineering, and machine learning.
The NEOS (Network-Enabled Optimization System) Server is a joint project between the optimization group at WID and the Morgridge Institute for Research. It consists of a server that accepts optimization models to solve a collection of expository material in the NEOS guide.
Machine Learning @ UW-Madison brings together people, research, and courses from across the campus focused on the theory and application of Machine Learning.
