Lisa Charron

Lisa works with Editor-in-Chief Dr. Felix Elwert, Department of Sociology, to ensure the submission, peer review, and revision processes run smoothly for Sociological Methods & Research, a leading journal for innovations in the collection, measurement, and analysis of social sciences data. Prior to joining the DSI team, she worked at the UW Population Health Institute for five years, conducting various qualitative and quantitative evaluation research projects at the intersection of urban and regional planning and public health. During that time she earned her Master of Public Health and Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies with career goals in the academic publishing industry. Lisa’s research interests include urban and regional planning for health, sustainable development, planetary health, rural planning, and policy evaluation.
