At this virtual workshop, you’ll learn best practices for using spreadsheets, cleaning data with OpenRefine, querying data with SQL, and using R for manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing data, using a data set that would be used in social science research.
Data Carpentry develops and teaches workshops on the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience. The course is aimed at graduate students and other researchers. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.
